Knauf Insulation TS, TSS, TSK

Description

Knauf Insulation TS, TSS, TSK slabs are made of the basalt fibre bound with the synthetic resin. The water repellent agent is applied across the entire cross-section of the slab.

Application

Knauf Insulation TS, TSS, TSK slabs are intended for the application as a thermal and acoustic insulation layer in three-layered wall and roofing sandwich panels with metal lining. The slabs are used by cutting them into strips (lamellas) and turning by 90 degrees. The outside air design temperature ranges from +60 to -70 oC.

Knauf Insulation TS, TSS, TSK:

• has low thermal conductivity: excellent insulation properties;
• is incombustible, which improves the passive safety of the building;
• its acoustic properties allow attaining high values of the structure sound suppression factor;
• it has low parameters of the diffusion resistance coefficient;
• is biologically stable (in case of correct application it maintains its insulation properties);
• it is micro-organism and rodent-resistant;
• is chemically neutral: it does not increase the corrosivity in case of the direct contact with metal;
• its volume and shape remain stable in case of temperature changes;
• is distinguished by its high compressive, shearing and layer detachment (exfoliation) strength.
• it can be easily processed to any size;
• is produced with the high dimension accuracy;
• it is not saturable and is permeated with the water repelling agent across its entire cross section;
• it requires protection against the atmospheric impact in the course of the transportation, storage and installation.
